Jake Sullivan, the outgoing US National Security Advisor, made a significant announcement during his final visit to India. Speaking at IIT-Delhi, he revealed that India and the US are advancing civil nuclear cooperation stalled for nearly two decades.

Resolving Decades-Old Challenges

Sullivan traced the roots of this collaboration to the Civil Nuclear Deal signed by Manmohan Singh and George Bush almost 20 years ago. “We are now finalizing steps to remove long-standing barriers, paving the way for deep collaboration between Indian and US nuclear entities,” Sullivan announced.
