Hamas Leader Killed in Airstrikes Amid Ongoing Conflict
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed on Thursday that they killed three senior leaders of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, including their Gaza government head, Rawhi Mushtaha. This information was shared by the IDF in a social media post. The other two leaders killed in the strike were Sameh Siraj and Sameh Oudeh.
According to the IDF, the airstrike targeted an underground compound in northern Gaza that served as a safe haven for the terrorists. “Approximately three months ago, in a joint IDF and ISA strike in Gaza, Rawhi Mushtaha, Sameh al-Siraj, who held the security portfolio on Hamas’ political bureau, and Sami Oudeh, Commander of Hamas’ General Security Mechanism, were eliminated,” the IDF stated.

The IDF described the operation as a significant action against Hamas’s command and control center, allowing terrorists to remain safe for extended periods. The IDF added, “We will continue to pursue all the terrorists responsible for the October 7 massacre and anyone who threatens the State of Israel.”
Mushtaha was a close associate of Yahya Sinwar, a top Hamas leader who helped orchestrate the October 7 attack on Israel that killed over 1,200 people. Last week, Israel also killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in a strike in Beirut, delivering a major blow to the Iran-backed terror group.
It is noteworthy that the Middle East has been facing a tumultuous security situation for nearly a year since Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel, killing approximately 1,200 people and taking over 200 hostages.
