The civic volunteer, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, approached the protest site on his bike, which displayed a Kolkata Police sticker. Witnesses reported that Ghosh lost control and collided with the road divider, causing chaos among the protesters. The students immediately claimed that the volunteer was intoxicated, adding to the tension at the already charged protest site.
