The International Cricket Council (ICC) has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that a hybrid model is the only viable solution for the 2025 Champions Trophy. This decision comes after the Indian government denied permission for their team to travel to Pakistan.

PCB’s Stance and ICC’s Proposal

During the recent ICC board meeting, the PCB reiterated its stance on hosting all matches within Pakistan. However, ICC members emphasized that this scenario is impractical. The meeting, attended by 12 full members and three associates, highlighted the growing tension. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi attended virtually from Dubai.
