CPI(ML) calls for Arwal bandh on September 11 against rising crime in district
The CPI(ML) party has called for an Arwal bandh on September 11, 2024 against rising crime in Arwal district. The main objective is to protest against the rising crimes in the district and demand appropriate action from the administration. The immediate reason behind this call is said to be the shooting death of CPI(ML) leader Sunil Chandravanshi in Kinjar police station area of Arwal district. In this incident, three bike-borne assailants shot Sunil 6 bullets, in which two bullets each hit the chest, head and hand. This incident happened late on Monday night, when Sunil was passing near the rice mill located near Imamganj Karpi road. The attackers fled from the spot after carrying out the incident while waving weapons.
Reaching the spot, Arwal’s local MLA Com. Mahanand Singh, Agiaon MLA Com. Shiv Prakash, and Ghosi MLA Com. Rambali Yadav took stock of the situation. These leaders also participated in the funeral procession of CPIML District Committee member Com. Sunil Chandravanshi and paid tribute to him.
CPIMML District Secretary Jitendra Yadav, Municipal Council President Sadhana Kumari, Vice President Jamila Khatoon, and District Council Member Com. Shah Shad also participated in this protest. Apart from these, other members of CPIML like Tribhuvan Sharma, Ravindra Yadav, Ramakant Kumar Tunna, and Nandkishore Prasad also participated in this event.
During the protest, the public and leaders demanded from the administration that the increasing crimes in the district should be stopped immediately. They said that the administration should take strict action so that the criminals can be caught as soon as possible and peace can be restored in the district. During the protest, the presidents of Kinjar and Karpi police stations took charge of security. Police force was deployed to maintain the entire security system so that no untoward incident could happen.
A large number of local people participated in this protest and expressed their displeasure against the administration. People stressed that if the administration does not take strict action against the criminals, such protests will intensify in the future.
CPI(ML) said that the purpose of Arwal bandh is to send a message to the administration that the public is now becoming more aware against crimes and is ready to go to any extent for their rights and security. The administration will now have to fulfill its responsibility and curb the increasing crimes in the district.
