Arvind Kejriwal’s Big Charge: PM Conspired to Prove Him Corrupt
At a public event called ‘Janta ki Adalat’ held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Sunday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a serious accusation against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kejriwal claimed that PM Modi conspired to prove him and AAP leader Manish Sisodia corrupt.
Kejriwal stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi plotted against us. He conspired to prove me and Manish Sisodia corrupt. His plan was to tarnish our image.”
Having run the Delhi government with honesty for the past 10 years, Kejriwal said, “PM Modi believes that the only way to defeat me is by attacking my honesty.”
He added, “I resigned because I am not hungry for the Chief Minister’s chair. I am not here to earn money, but to change the politics of the country.”
The AAP chief mentioned that he would soon leave the Chief Minister’s residence and further claimed that even after serving as the CM for 10 years, he does not own a house in Delhi.
Responding to the BJP’s accusations of corruption, Kejriwal said, “If I were dishonest, would I have made electricity free? If I were dishonest, would I have made bus rides free for women? If I were dishonest, would I have built schools for children? If I were dishonest, would I have made healthcare in hospitals free?”
Taking a dig at the BJP, Kejriwal questioned, “The BJP is in power in 22 states. Have they made electricity or bus rides free for women in any of these states?”
He further asked whether he was the “thief” or whether it was the people who were trying to send him to jail who were the real thieves.
