In a recent political clash, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his administration’s use of bulldozers. Addressing party workers, Yadav vowed that if the Samajwadi Party wins the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections, all bulldozers would be redirected to Gorakhpur.
Yadav questioned the legality of the Chief Minister’s residence and accused Adityanath of misusing bulldozers for personal gain. “Has the map for the CM’s residence been approved? Bulldozers have no brain, only a steering wheel,” Yadav remarked, challenging the Chief Minister to justify the use of these machines in governance.
Yadav further accused Adityanath of using bulldozers to target innocent people’s homes and suppress opposition. He promised that, under his leadership, the bulldozers would serve a new purpose after the 2027 elections.
In response, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath defended his use of bulldozers, emphasizing that operating such heavy machinery requires both courage and capability. Addressing an appointment letter distribution event, Adityanath said, “Not everyone has the heart and mind to handle a bulldozer. Those who bow before rioters cannot stand in front of a bulldozer.”
Adityanath also mocked Yadav’s nickname “Tipu” and accused him of extortion during his previous rule. He criticized the Samajwadi Party for dividing areas for financial gain and compared the pre-2017 situation to havoc caused by man-eating wolves.
As the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections draw nearer, the rivalry between Yadav and Adityanath is set to intensify, with both leaders making bold statements to consolidate their support.
