Despite receiving immediate medical attention, Vinod could not survive the severe injuries sustained in the crash.
Previous Hit-and-Run Cases in Mumbai
This incident marks the third hit-and-run case in Mumbai within a month, highlighting a worrying trend of reckless driving in the city. Earlier, on July 7, a woman tragically lost her life, and her husband was injured when their scooter was hit by a BMW driven by Mihir Shah, the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah, also in Worli. Additionally, on July 22, a speeding Audi caused an accident involving two auto-rickshaws, resulting in injuries to both drivers and passengers.
Authorities have registered a case against Kiran Indulkar, and he has been arrested. The city police are intensifying their efforts to curb such incidents and ensure safer roads for all.
