Iran’s Top Secret Service Officer Was Israeli Spy: Ahmadinejad’s Revelation

In a shocking revelation, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad disclosed that a high-ranking Iranian secret service officer, responsible for countering Israel’s Mossad intelligence operations, was actually working as an Israeli spy. This revelation, which emerged in 2021, highlighted that the senior-most official in charge of countering Israeli intelligence efforts within Iran was a Mossad agent.

Speaking to CNN Turk, Ahmadinejad said, “Israel organized complex operations inside Iran. They could easily obtain information. The man in charge of the unit against Israel in Iran was an Israeli agent.”

Ahmadinejad also claimed that this was not an isolated incident. He alleged that an additional 20 agents within the Iranian intelligence team, responsible for monitoring Israeli activities, were also working for Mossad. These agents were reportedly providing Israel with sensitive information about Iran’s nuclear program. They were allegedly involved in the theft of Iranian nuclear documents in 2018 and were responsible for assassinating several Iranian nuclear scientists.

These shocking revelations come at a time when Israel has launched a “limited and targeted” ground operation against Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed group, in southern Lebanon. Israel’s airstrikes since September 23 have resulted in more than 960 deaths and 2,770 injuries, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
